Having coached such stars as John Travolta, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, Renee Zellweger, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Queen Latifah in films such as the Oscar-winning Chicago and Hairspray, as well as recording artists Shawn Mendes, The Arkells, Jully Black, Jim Cuddy, Elaine Overholt has established herself as one of North America’s most respected and treasured vocal gurus.
She is celebrated for her ability to elicit magical performances from every kind of singer and speaker by going deep into technique and performance. Elaine’s coaching of Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen Show has become a youTube phenomenon. Elaine’s own spectacular voice has been heard in recordings, on stages around the world as a soloist, and it has allowed her the envied opportunity to sing alongside such titans of music as Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick, Anne Murray, Paul Shaffer and Martin Short.
Her TV series Big Voice, aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) in Canada & the US, encompassing Elaine’s life-long ambition to help unlock the power of the human voice – to communicate one’s strongest intention and deepest passions.
